We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Head of Healthcare to join our Healthcare team at HMP Dovegate , a category B Prison located near Uttoxeter in Staffordshire.

HMP Dovegate is a male remand prison that has a capacity for 1160 adults. We are recruiting for a Deputy Head of Healthcare to join our team and support the Head of Healthcare with daily running of the Healthcare team within the prison. Ideally we are looking for someone with a clinical background that has experience with budgets, audits and clinical governance.

Hours

Monday - Friday 0900 - 1700

Salary

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £57,498per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As a Deputy Head of Healthcare, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients by seeking out, listening to and acting on
    feedback so that patient engagement is at the centre of service delivery.
  • You will also provide day to day operational service delivery and data which has integrity, in a timely manner to meet
    commissioner expectations.
  • Deliver non-judgemental, compassionate care within the financial framework that is safe, high quality
    and in line with CQC requirements.
  • This will be achieved through adherence to policies and procedures and compliance with statutory responsibilities whilst driving excellence.

Qualifications required

  • Degree or appropriate equivalent level of experience or clinical qualification
