Job Description
Deputy Customer Operations Manager - Overview

Wyre Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Customer Operations Manager to play a key role in delivering exceptional front of house experiences for audiences and hirers at Marine Hall.

Salary: £30,024 to £32,061 (Full Time)

Location: Poulton Le Fylde, Lancashire

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and motivate staff, volunteers and agency teams to deliver smooth and well run events.
  • Act as Duty Manager for shows and events, including evenings and weekends.
  • Support box office, bar, catering and front of house operations.
  • Manage stock control, cash handling and financial returns in line with Council procedures.
  • Lead housekeeping standards, COSHH compliance and venue presentation.
  • Liaise with technical teams, hirers and event companies to ensure successful delivery of events.
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Plan and cost events with prospective hirers alongside line manager.
  • Ensure health, safety and security standards are met at all times, including fire safety procedures.
About you

You will have excellent customer care and communication skills with experience in a customer facing supervisory or management role.

You will have strong knowledge of bar, catering or venue operations.

Essential Requirements
  • Experience of cash handling and financial procedures.
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements in a public venue.
  • Ability to motivate, develop and manage staff effectively.
Ideally you'll have
  • Experience working in a theatre or similar events venue.
  • Event or show management experience.
  • Experience using box office or EPOS systems.
  • A management qualification and/or personal licence (or willingness to obtain one).
Working Pattern

Marine Hall operates a seven day service. This role includes evening and weekend working, with additional hours managed through the annualised hours scheme.
