The RoleReporting to the Engineering Compliance Monitoring and Safety Manager, this role is a unique opportunity to join the wider Safety and Compliance team of Ireland's newest airline, Emerald Airlines.
Responsibilities- Accomplish scheduled and random audits of all Part 145 & CAMO activities in accordance with the IAA / UK CAA approved Annual Audit Plan, including audit preparation, conducting the audit, issuing non conformances, follow up, and audit report compilation and issuance.
- Manage internal and external occurrence reporting systems within the CAMO & P145 organisations, reviewing safety occurrences, risk assessments and safety investigations.
- Monitor and follow up with the responsible manager/external auditee to ensure that agreed corrective action plans are accomplished within the agreed timeframe; review root causes and proposed corrective/preventive actions; challenge timely implementation and required evidence.
- Issue and renew P145 Engineers company authorisations (PACs).
- Prepare reports to support SAG and SSCRB meetings.
- Make recommendations to assist Nominated Persons in maintaining regulatory compliance and best industry practice in their area of responsibility.
- Monitor implementation of safety recommendations identified by audits, hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA) or incident reports; follow up and process action items with hazard owners as a result of the HIRA process.
- Update and develop the CAME /MOE manuals, audit checklists, and the audit plan to keep abreast of amended regulations and maintain best practice and efficiencies.
- Liaise with the Competent Authority or other third parties to facilitate external audits or queries.
- Support the Compliance Monitoring and Safety Manager on a regular basis and deputise for him as required.
- Perform any other duties as reasonably required by the Compliance Monitoring and Safety Manager.
- Minimum of two years compliance or safety experience within an aviation maintenance Part 145 or Part M/CAMO environment.
- Holder of an EASA Type rated Part 66 licence or a relevant aeronautical degree.
- Knowledge of applicable EASA / UK CAA Part 145 regulations, CAMO regulation; knowledge of IOSA Standards and recommended practices is an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience of auditing techniques - planning, conducting, analysing, and reporting; compiling final audit reports and processing resulting corrective/preventive actions.
- Knowledge of safety management systems, including safety risks linked to working within an aviation environment, and associated human factors and performance limitations.
- Ability to identify and make recommendations to rectify existing and potential unsafe conditions.
- Strong organisational, investigative and IT skills.
- Position requires travel across the Emerald Airlines network and a full driving licence.
- Completion of Safety Management Systems Training.
