Job Description

Want to be part of a UK hub, in a global business that is scaling rapidly, evolving fast and radically changing the decades-old delivery universe? If so, read on, as we're looking for a Depot Manager to join our team!

We are delighted to announce that we have acquired Yodel, one of the UK's largest delivery companies. The acquisition builds on the partnership established between InPost and Yodel in 2024, when Yodel began providing last-mile delivery through InPost's "locker-to-door" service.

Today we become truly unique as the only delivery partner with a one-stop shop offer - we have the largest out-of-home delivery network that is now combined with to-door capabilities. Going forward, the acquisition of Yodel brings immediate scale to InPost's operations, expands our service offering, and provides greater convenience to retailers and customers.

About the role:

This role will manage and lead one of InPost's Yodel sites. In this pivotal role, you won't just manage operations-you'll ignite performance, inspire a high-energy team, and set new standards in customer service. You'll thrive on tackling challenges head-on, optimizing operational efficiency, and pushing for innovation that propels us toward ambitious business goals.

If you're a natural leader with a passion for logistics and a knack for turning complexity into seamless service delivery, this is your chance to make an impact where every second counts!

What you'll be doing:

As Depot Manager at InPost/Yodel, you'll take charge of our fast-paced services-delivering excellence across parcel logistics distribution. You'll be the driving force behind seamless operations, coordinating everything from parcel distribution to newspaper deliveries with precision and speed. Your leadership will inspire a diverse team, fostering a culture of high performance, safety, and collaboration. You'll focus on customer satisfaction, build lasting relationships, resolve challenges swiftly, and elevate service standards.

Your financial skills will help keep the depot on budget, boosting profitability while maintaining operational excellence. You'll champion compliance and safety, ensuring all processes meet regulatory standards. You'll also push for continuous improvement, leveraging technology and data to streamline workflows and innovate. Your insights will guide strategic decisions, turning performance metrics into tangible results.

What we need from you:

We're looking for individuals ready for a fast-paced environment, who enjoy problem-solving and can balance day-to-day tasks with building for the future. We value drive and natural curiosity-people who want to do things differently and excel at it.

  • Proven leadership experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain management, preferably within a depot or similar environment.
  • Experience managing multiple services or business units, focusing on operational efficiency and customer service.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and driving profitability.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance within logistics, including health & safety, driver regulations, and industry standards.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, fostering high performance and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers and manage diverse teams.
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and improvement.
  • Highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The InPost process:

We aim to make the application process straightforward. We'll try to get back to you within a few days for a brief 20-minute chat with our Talent Team. If both sides feel a connection, there may be additional stages, depending on the role level.

At InPost, we celebrate uniqueness. Our strength lies in our people. We are committed to creating an open, inclusive environment where everyone can flourish and be themselves.
