We pride ourselves on our 'Customer First' approach, and to support this, we are looking for an experienced Depot Manager to join our team at a new site.

We strive to deliver an outstanding service to our customers and your role as a Depot Manager is key to this. This is a hands on role where you will be fully accountable for managing the Depot Operations, whilst proactively seeking ways to improve cost, service & operational efficiency. You will ensure all resources including third parties are managed and planned to achieve the agreed service levels and cost budget.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Operations Director to manage and control the budget in order to achieve the SLAs including productivity, labor costs, overtime usage and agency usage.
  • Arranging the Depot recruitment as authorized by the Operations Director to the Company standards.
  • Maintaining Health and Safety Regulations by ensuring Safe Systems of work, risk assessments, accident investigations and reporting is completed and reviewed on a regular basis.
  • Ensuring the Company's policies and procedures are adhered to at all times including the management of absence, labour turnover, performance reviews etc.
  • Ensuring all employees are developed within the Company's guidelines and that all necessary appraisals, reviews are maintained up to date.
  • Managing the performance of direct reports; setting and monitoring key objectives.
  • Developing and maintaining effective communication channels with all appropriate areas of the business especially the Day/Night Shift Management, Customer Services, Transport, Compliance, and the Sales Team.
  • Ensuring that the Company security processes are maintained at all times and the control/safekeeping of all Company assets are maintained.
  • Liaising effectively with suppliers where appropriate.
