The OpportunityWe're looking for a dynamic Depot Manager to lead and develop a high performing aftersales operation. You'll be at the heart of the depot, driving profitability, delivering outstanding customer service and building a motivated, efficient team.
This is a hands on leadership role where no two days are the same. If you thrive in a fast paced environment and enjoy balancing people management, commercial performance and operational excellence, this could be the perfect fit.
What You'll Be Doing- Leading the day to day depot operation across parts and service
- Driving profitability through improved efficiency, utilisation, and cost control
- Managing budgets in collaboration with senior leadership
- Ensuring full compliance with health & safety and legal requirements
- Recruiting, developing, and inspiring your team
- Delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding expectations
- Implementing training plans and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining high standards across facilities, systems, and processes
- Supporting business growth and identifying new opportunities
Core hours are 8:00am - 6:00pm, but as Depot Manager you'll oversee a wider operational window.
- Monday to Friday: 6:00am - 10:00pm
- Saturday: 6:00am - 12:00pm
This means coordinating teams effectively to ensure smooth, efficient coverage across all operating hours.
What We're Looking For- Proven leadership experience within a main dealer workshop environment
- Experience ideally with commercial vehicle products or systems
- Strong commercial awareness and problem solving ability
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- A proactive, hands on management style
- Good understanding of health & safety requirements
- IT literacy and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
- HGV licence - (Desirable but not essential)
- Salary up to £65,000
