Main duties of the job

The Dementia Unit Lead is based at Kingsclear Nursing Home and is responsible for leading the dementia unit team, ensuring high quality person centred care and maintaining the "Good" CQC rating. The role involves:

  • Working 37.5 hours per week, 4 day shifts (9 00 or 8 00)
  • One out of three on call duties and one out of three weekend duties
  • Managing staffing rotations and staff training
  • Maintaining statutory records and supporting audit processes
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes
Qualifications and experience
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (essential)
  • Experience in dementia care and team leadership
  • Knowledge of CQC requirements and quality improvement initiatives
