Job Description:

The Demand Planning & Allocations Manager is responsible for forecasting consumer demand and managing model stock strategies to maximise sales and stockturn for De Beers London. This role ensures that demand planning and stocking initiatives align with business goals, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. The key outcomes include accurate demand forecasts, optimised stockturns, and alignment with the marketing plan ultimately driving sales and reinforcing De Beers London's position as a leader in the luxury jewellery market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement demand forecasting models based on historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors.
  • Maintain rolling forecasts for product categories down to individual SKUs to align supply with forecasted demand.
  • Reconcile SKU demand forecasts with category plans.
  • Collaborate with marketing, retail and supply chain teams to incorporate promotional activities and market insights into demand forecasts.
  • Develop and implement model stock strategies that align with the brand's luxury standards and business goals.
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels to minimise excess and obsolete inventory while mitigating out-of-stocks.
  • Manage the allocation of products across the retail, wholesale and ecommerce network to ensure product availability and maximise sales.
  • Collaborate with retail, wholesale and supply chain teams to align allocation processes with demand forecasts.
  • Monitor inventory performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Utilise data analytics to identify trends and optimise stock levels.
  • Continuously improve stock models and allocation accuracy through data analysis and model refinement.
  • Lead and manage the merchandising assistants, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive execution of marketing and events strategies.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of stock and allocation initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for Wholesale & Franchise order book management.
  • Utilise data analytics to identify trends and forecast demand.
  • Provide actionable insights to senior management to support informed decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in leading demand & model stock forecasting and strategies.
  • Strong understanding of luxury retail dynamics, market trends and customer behaviour.
  • Strong knowledge of exceptional diamonds including colour, abreast of Auctions and market trends to accurately price high value diamonds.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrates a proactive and accountable mindset. High attention to detail and commercial acumen.
  • Data-driven to inform decisions and strategies, ensuring clarity and precision in your approach.
