Job Description
Job Overview

Analog Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADI) seeks a motivated, enthusiastic engineer for the Limerick Defect/Integration team. The role focuses on defect reduction and yield improvement across Fab layers.

Responsibilities
  • Drive defect reduction/yield improvement projects for assigned layers.
  • Identify top Pareto items impacting defect density.
  • Develop and execute improvements with workcentres, ensuring completion.
  • Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor and control inline defects throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Set appropriate control limits, flag genuine issues, and prevent false OOCs.
  • Conduct excursion detection, fast response and containment, and prevention.
  • Maintain and improve inspection recipes to ensure low nuisance detection and high capture rate of defects of interest.
  • Investigate complex technical challenges to identify underlying causes of defects or yield loss (Root Cause Analysis).
  • Perform SEM & FIB analysis for wafer cross sections (FIB, SEM, TEM, EDX); SEM & FIB analysis a bonus.
  • Collaborate with process engineering, equipment engineering, product engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve defect issues with robust fixes.
  • Use Klarity Defect, SAS, JMP, ACE, and optionally Python for data mining large data sets.
  • Apply Design of Experiment to facilitate problem solving.
  • Lead defect-yield correlation using ACE to identify Pareto items impacting yield.
  • Scope projects, set realistic timelines, and lead cross functional teams to deliver projects on time.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills and creative problem solving ability.
  • Excellent data analysis skills; proficiency with Klarity Defect, SAS, JMP, ACE.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and ability to maintain inline defect charts with correct control and spec limits.
  • Understanding of statistics in general.
  • Ability to read and interpret wafer cross sections (FIB, SEM, TEM, EDX); SEM & FIB analysis a bonus.
  • Process integration and improvement experience or willingness to learn about different process flows.
  • Cross functional collaboration skills and ability to bring people together.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to explain complex problems clearly.
  • Project management experience; ability to drive defect reduction projects to timely completion.
  • Self starter with ability to drive projects and overcome obstacles creatively.
