Debt Recovery Officer

Debt Recovery Officer needed in Bromley, £19-20ph PAYE - Reference: 8641

Job Responsibilities:

1. Work as part of a team to provide efficient Adults Finance Income services for the Corporate Finance and Adults Services Directorate.
2. Assist with credit control processes for Adults' Services care fees under the guidance of the Adult Social Care Collections Manager.
3. Handle internal and external customer inquiries promptly, accurately recording all information received.
4. Support the preparation and processing of refunds for Adult Services customers.
5. Manage own caseload under supervision.
6. Identify vulnerable customers and support them through the payment process, adhering to safeguarding procedures.
7. Propose, establish, and monitor installment plans for debts, promoting Direct Debit as the preferred payment method.
8. Handle AUDDIS notifications and update recovery actions accordingly.
9. Contribute to reviewing and updating team documentation, policies, and procedures to meet statutory and operational standards.
10. Provide guidance and support to junior staff, apprentices, and work experience students.
