Join our vibrant educational team as a Day-to-Day General Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly support the learning and development of young children. (You will need to be available at least 2 days a week and expect early morning calls for the same day work.)
Duties
- Provide daily lesson plans across various subjects such as literacy, math, and early childhood education.
- Support classroom management by fostering positive behavior and maintaining a safe, organized learning environment.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, ensuring they stay engaged and supported.
- Supervise children during activities, transitions, meal times, and outdoor play to promote safety and well-being.
- Communicate effectively with students, teaching assistants, parents, and caregivers to share progress and address individual needs.
- Support children's social-emotional development through behavior management strategies and nurturing interactions.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools.
- Knowledge of special education practices, including working with individuals with autism or disabilities.
- Familiarity with curriculum development for literacy education, math instruction, Montessori or preschool methodologies.
- Experience in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and engagement.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Background in working with children of various age groups including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Understanding of childhood development principles to support individual growth trajectories.
