In this hands on role, you will support the day to day running of our warehouse, yard and chemical handling operations, ensuring all activities are carried out safely, efficiently and to the highest compliance standards. What you'll be doing: As a day shift operative, you will play a key part in the safe handling and movement of chemical products across the site. Your responsibilities include: Safely handling, filling and storing chemical products in line with legislation and Brenntag procedures Picking and checking customer vehicle loads and ensuring all outbound loads match the customer order Loading vehicles safely and dispatching goods following operational procedures Building customer orders (manual handling and forklift work) Supporting the safe and efficient running of the yard and warehouse Carrying out manual yard duties and chemical filling as required Off loading tankers into bulk tanks or IBCs Loading/unloading IDN trailers and putting stock away in the warehouse Filling IBCs using automated filling stations (full PPE and protective suits provided) Completing any reasonable tasks requested by your line manager related to the effective operation of the site We're looking for someone who brings: Experience with manual handling FLT (Forklift Truck) experience or licence Understanding of REACH or chemical handling regulations (advantage) Experience working in a distribution or warehouse environment Experience working with chemicals (desirable but not essential) Strong commitment to safety and following procedures Full training, PPE and support will be provided.
