Data Steward - EMEA

Provide backup support to the SimpleMDG Core business team and assist affiliates with SAP material master data creation, activation, and maintenance. The Data Steward ensures data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with Global Master Data Management (GMDM) standards. The role supports regional affiliates and collaborates with the Global Data Management team to maintain effective master data governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain SAP material master records for local and global materials.
• Support commercial teams with processes and system requirements for material master management in IRIS.
• Process material master setup and change requests in the ERP system
• Ensure data maintenance follows Global Data Management (GDM) standards and business rules.
• Work with Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and Sales teams to resolve master data issues.
• Analyze operational data and support ERP data validation activities.
• Participate in data governance and data quality/cleansing initiatives.
• Coordinate activities such as costing, pricing, and approvals during new material activation.
• Maintain documentation for data changes and support monthly financial control audits.
• Act as a key contact for affiliates during material-related business disruptions.
• Support supply chain setups and coordinate with warehouses, planners, customer service, and marketing teams.
• Collaborate with the Global Data Management team on updates to global material settings (eg, UOM, GTIN, descriptions).

Minimum Requirements

3-5 years of SAP MM/Material Master experience.

Knowledge of SAP transactions such as MM01, MM02, QA08, MEK1, ME11, ME01/ME02, MM17

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Experience working in a global Matrix environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate across different regions and cultures.
