ARAG UK, a market-leading insurance and legal services provider, has an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist to join the Information Management Team, based in our Bristol offices.
As a Data Scientist covering the insurance and law sector, you will be a key member of our data team. The successful candidate will leverage best practices to explore data, formulate hypotheses, analyse results, and provide actionable recommendations. You'll work directly with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver insights that drive business decisions. Additionally, you will mentor junior team members, helping them develop their skills and grow professionally.
This is a varied role, and you will look to utilise advanced analytics, predictive analytics, and machine learning capabilities, along with a broad awareness of contemporary technologies and techniques, including AI.
Responsibilities- Use advanced analytics, predictive analytics, and machine learning to deliver business-focused insights and solutions.
- Create and maintain data visualizations to support business insights, and develop and implement advanced analytics solutions to meet business needs.
- Manage tasks from inception to completion, collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring effective communication and workflow management to deliver content aligned with requirements.
- Identify potential risks in design and delivery and suggest mitigations; detect and escalate any data issues encountered during daily activities.
- Experience as a Data Scientist with advanced proficiency in Python, R, and SQL Server.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience in advanced analytics, predictive analytics, and machine learning.
- Good communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to inspire trust, influence, and adapt messaging for different audiences.
- Broad awareness of contemporary technologies and techniques, including AI.
- Previous experience within Insurance or Financial Services is preferable but not essential.
