The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is a charity that provides a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service, seasonal lifeguards, and water safety education and initiatives. We are looking for three Data Quality Control Analysts to join us, who will ensure accurate and timely data is created and delivered through promoting use of best practice.

In this role you will be monitoring workflows, working collaboratively with others to resolve issues and ensuring data quality and governance requirements are adhered to deliver effective communications, and provide accurate reporting and statistics to support decision making.

Your Role

In this role you will

  • Deputise for the Data Quality & Governance Analysts and support with processing as and when appropriate.
  • Develop, maintain and deliver in-person data quality and governance training modules to key stakeholders and Lifesaving Operations.
  • Manage referrals of email queries and Hornbill tickets to timely resolution.
  • Deliver regular reporting for data end-users on Hornbill ticket management, with metrics to support understanding of recurring themes and sources, data owners and resolution timescales.
  • Engage and work collaboratively with key stakeholders on issues, resolutions, and progress for BAU workflows, using knowledge to support organisational transformation project work where required, championing best practice in data quality and governance.
  • Develop and maintain data quality rules for workflows, ensuring they remain relevant against changing requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Local Working Instructions (LWI's) for existing and new processes, ensuring they remain relevant through annual review or key organisational step changes, and accessible for users.
  • Deliver end of year BAU stats reporting for key stakeholders.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement through active use of knowledge and expertise to support and drive efficiencies and effective working through change. Support effective shared documentation and data between cross-departmental users.
About You

We are looking for someone who has an organised approach to their work, enjoys collaborative working, including workshops, delivering information and training, and presenting data to stakeholders.

The successful candidate will also have:

  • Experience with MS Office applications including Excel
  • Experience of working with databases, and ideally working with database management tools
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with both written and numeric data accurately
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively through peaks of demand
  • Ability to work collaboratively and present information with clarity
  • Ability to deliver reporting
  • Focus on continuous improvement and best practice
