The Data Platform Owner bridges the gap between business needs and technical capabilities to achieve the outcomes of the data vision and platform roadmap by understanding problems, making efficiencies and driving the future state of the platform.Alongside managing the product backlog, you'll define success metrics to track product performance and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product development aligns with user needs and technical feasibility.Working closely with Data Subject Matter Experts, advocating for data management best practice will be a key element of the role, as will facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to empower our colleagues to make smarter decisions. About You Experienced in Data Platforms you will have good knowledge of data platforms and warehousing solutions, ideally Azure and Databricks. Previous experience owning a data platform and products roadmap, the product backlog and user story creation is essential, as is experience using frameworks to prioritise features based on user needs, business impact and technical feasibility.The ability to articulate complex data concepts and product roadmaps effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences is key for this role, as the ability to solve problems by approaching challenges with a curious mind, digging deep into data to identify root causes and potential solutions.You'll be comfortable working in agile methodologies, adapting to change, and delivering products iteratively.The Newcastle Building Society Group comprises of Newcastle Building Society, Manchester Building Society, Newcastle Financial Advisers and Newcastle Strategic Solutions.
