Data Engineering Lead
West London - Onsite 5x day per week

We're partnering with a well-known consumer-facing organisation that is investing heavily in its data capabilities. With a growing technology team and strong backing from senior leadership, this is an opportunity to take ownership of the data function and help shape its future direction.
The organisation is at an early stage of its data maturity journey. Data is currently spread across multiple systems, with a third-party managed data warehouse already in place. As the Data Engineering Lead, you will take ownership of the Snowflake platform, bring greater control and governance to the data landscape, and work alongside the CTO to develop and deliver the long-term data strategy.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for building and enhancing data pipelines and integrations, whilst supporting a BI Developer and engaging with senior stakeholders across the business. The long-term vision is to bring data capabilities in-house and build a scalable data function.
What we are looking for:
- Strong hands-on Data Engineering experience in modern cloud-based environments.
- Experience with Snowflake and building scalable data platforms.
- Expertise in data integration, ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing.
- Good understanding of data governance, security and best practice.
- Previous experience mentoring, leading or developing team members.
- Comfortable operating autonomously and acting as the senior data authority within a business.
- Someone who enjoys solving complex problems and building capability where none previously existed.
This isn't a role where you'll inherit a large team and simply keep the lights on. It's a chance to build something meaningful!
You'll have the freedom to influence technology decisions, introduce best practices, shape the future data landscape and work directly with senior leadership.
