Data Engineer (Senior 4-7 Years)

We are currently addressing several critical issues in how we ingest, classify, and extract value from online marketing data, in particular, organic and paid search data (main source is Google related). The aim is to improve the accuracy, usability, and efficiency of the current setup while ensuring the data supports meaningful business decisions.

Desired knowledge, experience, competence, skills etc

• Formal qualifications (BSc, MSc, PhD) in computer science, software engineering, informatics or equivalent
• Strong knowledge in designing efficient, robust and automated data pipelines, ETL workflows, data warehousing and Big Data processing
• Advanced experience working with SQL to build data pipelines. Proficiency in Python. Hands-on experience in Google Cloud platform and DBT is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling for BI & ML for performance and efficiency.
• Experience in driving new data engineering developments (e.g. apply new cutting edge data engineering methods to improve performance of data integration, use new tools to improve data quality and etc.)
• Familiarity with agile ways of working.
• Experience with web or search data is a plus.
• Data products and data mesh knowledge: experience with practical implementation from levels and schemas to data contracts and data access management
• Communication and interpersonal skills to help advocate for the data mesh, but also to guide colleagues technically (stakeholder management)
