Job Description

*Data Engineer-Hybrid-Contract- Sweden*

For our international client based in Sweden, RED is currently looking for a Data Engineer to join an ongoing data management and digital transformation initiative.

The consultant is expected to start first week November 2025 for an initial 5-month contract with potential extension. The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week on-site in Sweden.

Desired Skills:

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or IT Transformation Lead.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern data transformation frameworks such as dbt.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks (Spark, Unity Catalog).
  • Understanding of data lake and lakehouse architectures (Parquet, Delta Lake, Iceberg).
  • Experience with Git/GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, testing, and automation practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Kafka (streaming data) is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; Swedish is a bonus.
