Data Centre Technician , Data Center Operations

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In this role you will work as a Data Centre Technician, helping keep the cloud running by supporting the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment across AWS data centres.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot facility and rack level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
- Ensure safety procedures are adhered to during work
- Respond to off hour emergency calls as part of on call rotation for the region's sites
- Comply with all physical security procedures and policies
- Act as an escalation point for junior technicians
- Execute small projects independently and support larger local projects with a manager
24/7 shift coverage is required, including 12 hour shifts, rotating shifts, 3 , 4 , or 5 day work weeks, and may change based on the needs of the business. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time. Must be commutable to the Thames Valley Region. The role requires the candidate to be a UK national and able to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications- High school or equivalent diploma
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Experience in networking
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
