Job Title: Data Centre Shift Technician
Location: Slough
Salary: up to £48K per annum
Working Pattern: Shift Work (Days and Nights)

Our client is looking for a Data Centre Shift Technician to join their team in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a background in critical environments, or for someone keen to take the next step into this field.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical systems to industry standards.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across site equipment.
* Diagnose and rectify faults on systems such as BMS, UPS, generators, HVAC, and fire detection/suppression.
* Support with installations and modifications to electrical services.
* Maintain accurate records using computer-based systems.
* Communicate effectively with the Shift Supervisor, reporting on plant status and ongoing works.
* Ensure high standards of safety, compliance, and housekeeping at all times.

Skills & Experience:

* Previous experience in building services or critical environments (preferred).
* Data Centre Experience (Essential)
* City & Guilds (or equivalent) in electrical services/maintenance.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential).
* HV Authorisation (preferred).
* Strong technical knowledge of UPS, generators, and HVAC systems.
* Excellent communication skills with a proactive, reliable approach.
