Job Description
Data Business Analyst 
Location: Glasgow (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Contract: 12 months
Day rate: £300-£400 (inside ir35)
We're looking for an experienced Data Business Analyst to join a large-scale enterprise technology environment supporting complex, global systems. This role sits at the intersection of data, architecture, and IT service management, playing a key part in aligning business data requirements with modern technology platforms.
What you'll be doing- Gather, analyse, and actively track asset and configuration data requirements across multiple technology and business functions
- Perform cross-functional analysis to identify synergies, gaps, and alignment with industry standards
- Work closely with data architects to evaluate technical implementation options and validate solutions
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, assessing impacts of proposed changes
- Support data discrepancy analysis, including data lineage across multiple systems
- Create, maintain, and present high-quality data artefacts and documentation
- Coordinate with project teams to deliver milestones on time and manage change control activities
- Several years' experience in data or business analysis roles
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including CMDB/AMDB data models
- Solid understanding of data architecture and data lineage concepts
- Knowledge of ITSM / ITIL frameworks and IT asset management
- Ability to read and interpret technical materials such as scripts or configurations
- Experience in financial services or large enterprise environments
- Agile or programme management experience
- ServiceNow, ITIL, or data visualisation certifications
