  • Work closely with technical architects, project teams and subject matter experts to make sure solutions are robust, secure and scalable.
  • Support the full data product lifecycle, from design through to implementation and transition into live service.
  • Ensure solutions meet key architectural standards around usability, performance, capacity, security, availability, maintainability and governance.
  • Contribute to data policies, procedures and best practice, including data quality, lineage, privacy and secure-by-design principles.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases such as MS SQL, MySQL and MongoDB, including performance tuning and optimisation.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms, particularly Microsoft Fabric and Synapse.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, APIs, data pipelines and analytics architecture.
  • Good knowledge of data governance, including data quality, metadata management, data lineage, privacy and security controls.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau and designing architectures that support reporting and insight.
  • Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation, including high-level and low-level designs, and transition solutions effectively into support teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Degree-level education in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience, with ongoing professional development; certifications such as TOGAF, ITIL or relevant vendor accreditations would be advantageous.
