Client: Defence

Rate: Up to £650/day (Inside IR35)

Location: Portsmouth Navy, Davenport, Solihull or Hampshire.
Primarily work from home, 1-2 days per month in the office.

Duration: 3-6 months initially

Clearance: BPSS required, SC Preferred

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with active SC Clearance to join a high-impact programme within a government or defence environment. This role offers flexible working and the opportunity to shape enterprise-level data architecture across complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures
• Develop data models, standards, and governance frameworks
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to align data strategy with business needs
• Ensure data solutions comply with regulatory and security standards
• Support the development of data pipelines, warehouses, and analytics platforms

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Architect in secure or defence-related environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and modern data technologies. IBM Maximo experience is a plus.
• Experience with data governance, modelling, and integration across enterprise systems.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and documentation skills.
