Job Description
About us

Our purpose is simple: to save lives at sea. For 200 years, our lifeboat crews and lifeguards have shown selfless courage to rescue those in danger on the water. Behind them is a dedicated, talented team making it all possible. This is your chance to join that team and use your expertise to make a real difference every day.

The role

As our Data & Integration Solution Designer, you'll shape how the RNLI connects and uses data across the organisation. You'll design secure, reliable solutions that make systems work together seamlessly, turning data architecture into practical patterns and frameworks others can reuse. Your work will support major change initiatives, including our ERP transformation, enabling better decisions and stronger services that ultimately help save lives.

What you'll do
  • Design and document integration solutions that connect RNLI systems and data sources.
  • Develop reusable patterns and frameworks for data flows and APIs.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business teams to deliver practical solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
About you

You'll enjoy solving technical challenges and working collaboratively. You'll bring:

  • Experience designing data and integration solutions in complex environments.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, ETL processes, and service-oriented or microservice architectures.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Understanding of data governance and security principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.
Some of the benefits
  • Competitive Pension Scheme
  • Flexible working and a culture that values work life balance
  • 26 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Life assurance
  • Excellent health and dental cash plan
