Job Description
Overview

An Arts organisation in London is seeking a Data and Analytics Lead to join their technology function and revitalise their approach to data.

Reporting to the Head of IT, this role would lead the development of our organisational data strategy. Partnering closely with a number of teams and their data leads, you will foster a data culture grounded in insights and actions. You will leverage data science techniques to define, address, communicate and improve forecasting of key measures to inform and drive strategic decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of the organisational data strategy in partnership with teams and data leads.
  • Foster a data culture grounded in insights and actions across the organisation.
  • Leverage data science techniques to define, address, communicate and improve forecasting of key measures to inform and drive strategic decisions.
  • Democratise access to data and embed and expand modelling capabilities across the organisation, including AI planning, forecasting and analysis where appropriate.
  • Solve organisational challenges by weaving together data threads to highlight insights that drive innovation.
  • Identify opportunities to embed data-powered initiatives that deliver tangible value, improving productivity and data insights by building strong internal relationships and collaborating across teams.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience as a data scientist or data lead with a strong analytical background and grasp of modern statistical methods, tools and platforms.
  • Ability to identify data inputs and outputs from each software solution to inform the next generation or direction of software upgrades, including where appropriate AI-integrated solutions.
  • End-to-end problem solving and communication skills, including diagnosis, data cleaning, integration and transformation, analysis, visualization and presentation.
  • Experience in translating analysis results into data-driven insights.
  • Highly motivated, independent thinker with sound judgement and the ability to deliver value for the organisation.
