Job Description

Data Analytics Engineer

Analytics | dbt | Power BI | Tableau | Cloud Data

Data Analytics Engineer to take ownership of the analytics layer within a growing, data-driven organisation based in Central London.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building trusted data foundations and then turning them into clear, decision-ready insight. You'll sit at the intersection of data engineering and business intelligence, modelling clean, reliable datasets in dbt and designing impactful dashboards in Power BI and Tableau.

If you care about well-defined metrics, strong governance, and dashboards that genuinely support strategic decisions (not just look good), this role offers real ownership and visibility.

You'll lead the development of the analytics layer, building and maintaining robust dimensional models using dbt. You'll create production-ready fact and dimension tables, implement testing and documentation standards, and ensure business metrics are consistent and reliable.

Working closely with stakeholders across product, finance, operations and leadership, you'll translate business questions into structured data models and intuitive dashboards. You'll also collaborate with data engineers to refine upstream data structures and improve overall data quality.

This is an on-site role, based in London offering strong collaboration with senior stakeholders and direct influence on decision-making.

You need the following experience

  • Strong experience using dbt in a production environment
  • Excellent SQL and solid dimensional modelling expertise (star schemas, metric frameworks)
  • Experience with modern cloud warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift)
  • Hands-on dashboard development in Power BI and Tableau
  • Experience working with Git-based workflows
  • Confident engaging with non-technical stakeholders

Experience in regulated or data-sensitive environments would be advantageous.

If you're looking to build analytics properly with structure, governance and business impact then this role offers you

  • Clear ownership of the analytics layer
  • High visibility across the business
  • Permanent role offering stability and growth
  • Central London location
  • Salary up to £60,000 and great benefits.
