About the role:
As Data Analyst you will play a key part in shaping and advancing LifeArc's data ecosystem, with a strong focus on creating interactive and intuitive data visualisations that support confident, data-driven decision making. The role will cover the full lifecycle of dashboard development, including gathering and interpreting requirements, producing wireframes, building and refining dashboards, and completing thorough testing and deployment into production environments.
This role will also contribute to the design of scalable data models, the development of efficient data pipelines, and the preparation of high-quality datasets through effective data engineering and data-wrangling practices.
You will work closely with stakeholders to understand key decisions, performance indicators, challenges and end-to-end processes and translate these insights into clear and actionable requirements. As Data Analyst, you will ensure that new data capabilities are prioritised according to business value. You will also collaborate with data engineers and technology teams to deliver integrated data products and platforms.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality data models and datasets through shaping and refining data models, prepare and transform data from multiple sources, and collaborate with data engineers to ensure reliable and scalable data foundations.
- Lead the end-to-end creation of dashboards ensuring intuitive, accessible and visually strong data products.
- Analyse complex datasets to identify trends and opportunities, validate data accuracy, and translate findings into clear, compelling visual stories for diverse audiences.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand goals, KPIs and processes, converting these into well-defined data and dashboard requirements and prioritising based on business impact.
- Evolve dashboards and analytics solutions over time, monitor usage, optimise performance and champion best practices in data visualisation, data quality and analytical rigor.
- Engage stakeholders at all levels, manage expectations, present insights clearly, and collaborate across matrixed teams including product, platform, architecture and technology colleagues.
Essential experience required:
- Strong experience working as a data analyst within matrixed teams, translating business needs into clear data and dashboard requirements.
- Proven ability to design and deliver data-driven change through effective data product development and continuous improvement.
- Skilled in analysing complex datasets and converting insights into intuitive, actionable visualisations.
- Experienced in eliciting user stories, requirements and process insights to inform solution design.
- Adept at managing diverse stakeholder needs and acting as a trusted business partner.
- Proficient with Excel, SQL and PowerBI, with knowledge of data modelling and preferred experience in Python or R.
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent years of experience).
- BA certification preferred in modern data analysis and design techniques and agile delivery approaches.
- Understanding of project and product management principles, with experience running small to medium data initiatives.
- Ability to optimise user experience and codesign improved workflows, dashboards and use journeys.
Skills & abilities:
- Excellent negotiation skills to effectively negotiate with stakeholders, aligning interests and driving consensus in complex discussions.
- Product management and UX design to lead cross-functional teams in user centred design and iterative product management.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with client group, with the ability to prioritise solutions that solve real customer challenges, aligned with business and scientific priorities.
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills to analyse information and makes data-driven decisions independently in familiar situations.

Salary will be determined by qualifications and experience along with other exceptional benefits.
