Customer Service Team Leader - Accident Repair / Bodyshop / Automotive

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Customer Service Team Leader to join a busy and established accident repair group within a new and large site based in London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who understands the automotive bodyshop industry and has previous experience leading a customer service or front-of-house team.

You will be responsible for overseeing a team of 3 Customer Service Advisors (CSAs), ensuring customers receive an excellent level of service throughout the repair process.

You will be based front of house within the accident repair centre, working closely with the workshop and management team to ensure customers are kept informed and the customer journey runs smoothly from vehicle arrival through to completion.

The Role
  • Lead and oversee a team of 3 Customer Service Advisors
  • Manage the day-to-day front-of-house customer service operation
  • Ensure customers receive a professional, friendly and efficient service
  • Support and develop the CSA team, providing guidance, coaching and leadership
  • Monitor customer journeys and ensure customers are kept regularly updated throughout the repair process
  • Deal confidently with customer queries, concerns and complaints, resolving issues wherever possible
  • Work closely with the Bodyshop Manager, Estimators, VDA's and workshop team to ensure repairs progress efficiently
  • Ensure all customer and vehicle information is accurately recorded and maintained
  • Use the AutoFlow bodyshop management system to manage and monitor customer and repair information
  • Help maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and service standards
  • Lead by example and ensure the front-of-house team operates efficiently and professionally
About You

We're looking for someone who has a genuine automotive background and understands the customer journey within the motor trade.

You will ideally have experience within either an accident repair centre/bodyshop or main dealer environment, together with some previous leadership or supervisory experience.You'll need to be:

  • Experienced within the automotive industry
  • Confident leading and supporting a small team
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
  • Professional, organised and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable dealing with customers face-to-face and over the telephone
  • Confident handling customer concerns and resolving issues
  • A good team player who can work effectively with both customers and workshop teams
  • Experienced using AutoFlow or a similar bodyshop management system
