Job Description

At Vetlife, we're proud to be one of the South Island's largest veterinary practices, with 29 clinics dedicated to delivering friendly, high quality care to our communities. Vetlife Temuka offers a full range of veterinary services to the surrounding community for both companion and production animals.

We currently have an opportunity for a motivated Customer Service Assistant/Receptionist to join our team. This role is the first point of contact for our clients and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day to day running of the clinic.

This is a permanent full time position based on 40 hours per week, including a Saturday roster.

About the role
  • First point of contact for clients, including triage, taking calls, and scheduling appointments.
  • Retail sales.
  • Processing payments and maintaining accurate records.
  • Day to day tasks of the clinic, including maintaining product displays and ensuring a clean and tidy retail space.
  • Administrative support.
About you
  • High attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to connect with people and be comfortable around animals.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence when dealing with valued clients.
  • Self motivated and calm under pressure.
  • Enjoy working as part of a close knit team, with a great sense of humour.
  • Previous reception, customer service or administration experience is preferred; experience in a veterinary setting is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
