Quality Operations Specialist - Job Description

Job Summary: The Quality Operations Specialist will work with the complaints team to ensure complaints are closed within a timely manner, coordinate cross functional investigations related to complaints, and support Label Copy and Registration activities to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety Rules and Regulations in the plant.
• Report current or potential hazards to your manager immediately.
• Wear correct Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) at all times.
• Use appropriate controls such as fume hoods and ventilation when required.
• Consult and adhere to the relevant SOP or test method for each job task.
• Review all SOPs and test methods to ensure full understanding and compliance.
• Work closely with the Complaints and Investigations Coordinator to coordinate appropriate product tests associated with complaints.
• Report test results in a timely manner and in line with complaint response timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of data on the Trackwise system.
• Provide sufficient support to the Label Copy / Registration functions to meet deadlines.
• Adapt responsibilities to changes in GMP, EHS, Quality, Technical/New Equipment Procedures, SOPs and test methods.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Dairy Science, Microbiology, or Nutritional Food Science.
• Knowledge of compliance and quality standards.
• Strong understanding of analytical techniques and methods used.
• Very good knowledge of the plant and its processes.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Accountability for complaint recording and testing of retained cans.

Pre employment medical examination, including drug and alcohol screening, is required.
