Job Description
Customer Design & Support Manager - Midlands

Part of a well established, rapidly growing & dynamic company, working in the technical department, you will be responsible for providing direct support for a variety of customers, from household names to start up businesses.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will provide innovative design solutions for both existing & potential customers. You will work closely with customers to generate direct cost savings or indirect cost savings through productivity improvements.

You will be a customer facing team player, demonstrating a high level of commitment and initiative. You will listen to customers' needs, take design briefs, and create CAD samples. Your solutions will reflect a caring understanding of customers' needs and challenges.

Generate reports to support proposals in Word or Excel as needed. Demonstrate excellent time management skills, managing multiple projects for various customers under tight deadlines.

Required knowledge: in depth knowledge of corrugated fibreboard packaging; good knowledge of all packaging materials and uses; familiarity with world class manufacturing techniques; experience in a design/technical support role for 3PL and e commerce customers with a proven track record of cost reduction projects.

You must be able to work independently, displaying a proactive can do attitude, and be able to generate reports to support proposals.
