Job Description
Job Summary

From our Head Office to the shop floor and everywhere in between our primary goal is to create and deliver a fantastic customer journey for everyone who shops at Lidl. This role is a Customer Assistant delivering customer service, restocking, and operating tills across varied shift times.

Responsibilities
  • Interacting with customers in a pleasant, friendly and helpful manner.
  • Ensuring stock loss controls are followed in all store areas.
  • Maintaining store and external cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Following freshness and rotation principles.
  • Ensuring all waste is managed correctly.
  • Assisting in the stock count process.
  • Operating tills and minimising queues across morning, middle and late shifts.
  • Restocking missing items and ensuring the store is ready for the next day.
  • Providing support during unsocial hours (12am-7am).
Shift Patterns

Morning shift: Starting at 5am or 6am with your team, you'll be stocking our award winning products on the shop floor and preparing bakery items by opening time.

Middle shift: Starting mid morning or early afternoon, you'll keep the store spotless, presentable, and fresh, while assisting customers and working at the tills.

Late shift: From your start time in the afternoon, you'll serve customers with a smile, manage tills, restock, and prepare the store for the next day.

Qualifications
  • Can do attitude and excellent customer service skills.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile for customers.
  • Responsible and reliable.
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, varied environment.
  • Good team player.
  • Preferably previous experience in a customer facing role, but not essential if you have the right attitude.
  • Availability and willingness to travel to neighbouring stores for training before the store opening.
  • Legal ability to sell alcohol - must be 18 or over.
Pay & Benefits

Competitive and transparent salary system ensuring pay equality across all positions. Pay rates:

  • Year 1: €15.40 basic, €19.25 unsocial hours, €23.10 overtime/sundays, €30.80 bank holiday.
  • Year 2: €16.20 basic, €20.25 unsocial hours, €24.30 overtime/sundays, €32.40 bank holiday.
  • Year 3: €16.90 basic, €21.13 unsocial hours, €25.35 overtime/sundays, €33.80 bank holiday.
  • Year 4: €17.90 basic, €22.38 unsocial hours, €26.85 overtime/sundays, €35.80 bank holiday.
