Job Title: Custody Administrator Assistant
Location: HMP Forest Bank

Support safe, secure and efficient custodial operations.

We are seeking a reliable and detail focused Custody Administrator Assistant to join the Custody Administration Team at HMP Forest Bank. This role plays a key part in supporting the day to day running of the prison by delivering high quality administrative services to custodial and operational teams.

Working as part of a busy, multi tasked environment, you will help ensure resident records are accurately maintained, securely stored, and managed in line with information governance requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing general administrative support, including preparation and maintenance of files
  • Managing filing systems, archiving, retention and secure destruction of resident records
  • Handling telephone, face to face and written enquiries professionally
  • Managing incoming post and correspondence with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting the wider administration team with ad hoc duties as required

About you: You will have strong administrative experience, sound IT skills (particularly Microsoft Word and Excel), and a good eye for detail. Organised and calm under pressure, you'll communicate effectively, handle sensitive information with discretion, and demonstrate a commitment to accuracy, professionalism and personal development.
