Job Description

Curriculum Leader for Drama

A large secondary school based in West London is looking for a Curriculum Leader for Drama to join their team from September 2026.

The school is seeking an ambitious and inspirational teacher or existing middle leader who is passionate about Drama and committed to raising standards and student achievement. This is a permanent, full-time position starting on 1st September 2026.

Salary: Inner London Pay Scale + TLR 2a (£3,527)

School has onsite parking available.

Curriculum Leader for Drama - West London

Lead, develop and shape an ambitious Drama curriculum that inspires creativity, confidence and a passion for the performing arts.

Deliver engaging and high-quality Drama lessons that challenge and motivate students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.

Drive excellence in teaching and learning across the department, supporting outstanding student outcomes and curriculum development.

Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to express themselves creatively and develop confidence through performance.

Contribute to the wider life of the school, promoting high expectations, strong values and a culture of achievement for all students.

Support and develop colleagues within the department, sharing best practice and contributing to continuous school improvement.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

A relevant degree in Drama, Performing Arts or a related subject

Experience teaching Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to teach Key Stage 5 desirable

Strong subject knowledge and a passion for delivering outstanding teaching and learning

Ability to inspire, motivate and engage students from a wide range of backgrounds

Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills

Commitment to raising achievement and supporting students to succeed

Previous leadership experience or the ambition and capability to step into a middle leadership role

Salary Information:

Salary will be paid in line with the Inner London Pay Scale, plus TLR 2a (£3,527) for the successful candidate. Progression through the pay scale is dependent on experience and performance.
