Job Description
The Role:

Oxfam is seeking a dynamic Culture and Influencers Lead to drive our strategy for engaging high-profile individuals, cultural institutions, influencers, and ambassadors. This is a pivotal role that harnesses the power of celebrity and cultural influence to elevate Oxfam's profile, inspire advocacy, and generate vital support for our mission to end poverty and injustice. In this role, you'll:

  • Develop and Lead Strategy
    Shape and deliver Oxfam GB's approach to engaging cultural figures, influencers, and ambassadors.
  • Amplify Oxfam's Voice
    Leverage cultural influence to raise awareness, drive advocacy, and connect with new audiences worldwide.
  • Build Authentic Partnerships
    Establish and nurture long term, meaningful relationships with high-profile individuals and institutions that translate into impactful collaborations.
  • Strengthen Oxfam's Profile
    Position Oxfam as a trusted partner within cultural spaces, ensuring our values and mission resonate across diverse communities.
What we are looking for:

We're looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam's mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to our feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion in all you do.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:
  • Experience of managing performance of others and helping people to develop, grow and achieve their potential, including increasing diversity and inclusion in teams and / or workplaces, and creating positive change in work culture,processes and practices.
  • Lived experience or evidence of learning/taking action on anti racism and inequalities.
  • Extensive experience in celebrity relations or talent management, as well as public relations or arts & culture, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading a team of engaging high-profile individuals and cultural partners to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing successful communications and/or fundraising strategies involving influential figures.
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape, public relations, and digital engagement strategies.
  • Exceptional Relationship Builder with the ability to build rapport, trust, and long term relationships with diverse high-profile individuals and their teams.
  • Outstanding communicator, with persuasive written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to articulate complex messages clearly and compellingly to various audiences.
  • Brand savvy, deep understanding of brand positioning, reputation management, and ethical considerations in partnerships.
  • Resilience & adaptability, able to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Passion for the Mission: a genuine commitment to OGB's mission and values.
  • Awareness and sensitivity to diverse cultural contexts
