Job Description

CRM Manager (Salesforce) - 18 Month FTC

Robert Half are working with a purpose-led organisation in the science and research, and education space, who is looking for an experienced CRM Manager to lead their customer engagement strategy and Salesforce platform development.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of CRM in a globally focused, digitally evolving organisation where customer data and insight sit at the heart of commercial and community growth. The successful candidate will shape and deliver CRM strategy, lead a small technical team, and influence internal stakeholders across marketing, digital, publishing, events, and sales functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the organisation-wide CRM vision and strategy, with a core focus on Salesforce

  • Lead platform optimisation and roadmap development, aligned with customer experience goals

  • Collaborate across departments to embed a consistent, insight-led approach to CRM

  • Manage internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver scalable improvements

  • Deliver actionable insights, reports, and dashboards to support marketing, commercial, and service teams

  • Ensure data compliance and GDPR adherence across systems and processes

  • Coach and develop a team of Salesforce administrators and CRM specialists

  • Advocate for a customer-first mindset across the organisation


What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience leading CRM strategy and operations, ideally within a matrixed or mission-driven organisation

  • Strong technical knowledge of Salesforce (Sales, Service, Marketing Clouds)

  • Experience with CRM integrations, automation, analytics, and reporting

  • Strong understanding of data governance, CRM compliance, and user training

  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, from C-suite to end users

  • Experience managing third-party vendors and cross-functional projects

  • Backgrounds in sectors like education, membership, publishing, or non-profit welcomed
