Pab Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing law firm in Greater Manchester for an experienced Criminal Solicitor. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and forward thinking legal practice where you'll handle a varied criminal law caseload, represent clients throughout the criminal justice process, and contribute to the continued growth of a successful Criminal Defence team. Key Responsibilities- Manage a varied caseload of criminal law matters from instruction through to conclusion.
- Advise and represent clients at police stations, courts, and client meetings.
- Represent clients in Magistrates' Courts and undertake advocacy where appropriate.
- Prepare cases for hearings and trial, including briefing counsel when required.
- Manage legal aid applications and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain accurate case files, billing records, and case progression.
- Participate in out-of-hours work and court attendance where required.
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
- Experience across Criminal Law.
- Ability to manage a criminal law caseload independently.
- Excellent communication and client care skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- High professional and ethical standards.
- Experience representing clients at police stations.
- Magistrates' Court advocacy experience.
- Legal Aid experience.
- Duty Solicitor Accreditation.
