This is a rewarding opportunity to join our Bristol Women's Centre team, providing tailored, trauma informed support to women involved in the Criminal Justice System. You will play a key role in helping women rebuild their lives, working across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and BANNES in both centre based and outreach settings.
Salary: Starting at £27,000 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week (flexibility required)
Pension: Auto enrolment pension (6% employer contribution)
Location: Bristol Women's Centre (covering Bristol, South Gloucestershire and BANNES)
What will you doYou'll play a vital role in supporting women to make positive, lasting changes in their lives by:
- Providing 1:1 practical and emotional support to women involved in the Criminal Justice System
- Assessing client needs (including risk, health, psychological and social factors) and developing tailored support plans
- Managing a caseload, reviewing progress and adapting interventions to support positive change
- Working closely with multi agency partners including probation, police, housing and health services
- Advocating for clients and attending multi agency meetings, family court and criminal court where required
- Supporting women to access appropriate external services and community resources
- Delivering outreach support across the region and from satellite locations
- Maintaining accurate case records, monitoring outcomes and contributing to reporting and service development

We're seeking someone who is passionate, resilient and brings the following skills and experience:
- At least 2 years' experience supporting women with multiple complex needs
- Full UK Driving License and willingness to travel to different locations
- Strong experience in assessment, risk management and tailored support planning
- Knowledge of issues affecting vulnerable women, including domestic abuse, mental health and substance misuse
- Experience working collaboratively with partner agencies and building effective relationships
- Ability to engage and motivate individuals who may struggle to access services
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a diverse caseload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good IT and administrative skills, with experience of data recording and monitoring systems
Due to the nature of the work carried out in our Women's Centres this role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
