A typical day in this role involves welcoming participants as they arrive, ensuring all safety checks are completed to keep everything running smoothly. You'll manage bookings and referrals through email, phone, or self referrals. You'll also handle petty cash for travel expenses or small purchases, ensuring everything is accounted for.
Throughout the day, you'll gather feedback from participants through surveys or follow ups to ensure their needs are met. You'll also monitor CCTV and control access to restricted areas, ensuring everything stays secure. Ordering supplies, like stationery or refreshments, is part of the routine to keep the Hub well stocked.
Finally, you'll help ensure the Hub complies with Health and Safety and other guidelines by checking equipment and making sure things like fire extinguishers and first aid kits are in place.
We're looking for someone with a genuine interest in criminal justice and supporting rehabilitation. Ideally, you have worked on a similar project with vulnerable clients. Strong organisational skills and demonstrable admin experience are essential. You'll need strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with a range of people.
This could be a great opportunity for a criminology graduate looking to take their first step on the career ladder. Ideally you will have some experience of working or volunteering with ex offenders or clients with similar support needs.
