Credit Analyst

Join our expanding European Credit Research business within Macquarie Asset Management Credit, in London. We work closely with trading desks to understand transaction risks and ensure robust credit analysis and approval processes. You will collaborate with our European credit team based in London, conducting fundamental research on financial companies.

What role will you play?

As a Credit Analyst, you will build and actively cover a portfolio of primarily European investment-grade financial services companies, including banks, insurers, real estate, and housing associations. Your responsibilities include conducting analyses and providing recommendations to the portfolio management team. You will collaborate with analysts, traders, and portfolio managers across regions, managing global credit portfolios. This is a valuable opportunity for an experienced Credit Analyst with about 5 years' experience in funds management, sell-side, ratings agencies, or banking, especially with European issuer analysis, including banks.

What you offer

• Strong investment decision-making skills, with the ability to communicate conclusions clearly and succinctly both orally and in writing
• High numeracy, with exceptional analytical and financial modelling skills
• A curious, investigative mindset, sound business judgment, and a passion for financial markets, especially fixed income
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; intermediate knowledge of programming languages like Python is preferred
• Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business
