Creative Arts Technician Permanent Part Time
18.5 hours per week Term Time Only Actual Salary: £12,534 per annum We are seeking a motivated and skilled Creative Arts Technician to join our dynamic Creative Arts team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a broad range of technical and practical art skills who enjoys supporting students and contributing to an inspiring learning environment.

As our Creative Arts Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring our studios, workshops and resources run smoothly.

What You'll Do Provide technical support, supervision and guidance to students across a range of Creative Arts subjects.

Assist with classroom preparation, studio organisation, and maintenance of equipment and materials.

Support the setup, installation and dismantling of art exhibitions and displays.

Maintain stock levels, place orders and help manage material budgets and resources.

Promote safe working practices and carry out risk assessments in line with Health & Safety standards (including COSHH). Skills & Experience We're Looking For Knowledge across a range of art disciplines (e.g., painting, printmaking, textiles, photography). Confident using Adobe software such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Lightroom.

Experience with Premiere Pro is desirable but not essential.

Experience in stock control, purchasing and basic budget management.

Good IT capability, including strong working knowledge of Excel and digital file management.

Confidence in assisting students with materials, techniques and technical processes.

Ability to prepare workspaces independently and occasionally support evening events.

Health & Safety Strong understanding of relevant regulations and procedures.

Experience conducting risk assessments and ensuring safe studio environments.

Qualifications & Attributes A qualification in Art & Design or relevant industry experience.

Adaptable, patient and reliable, with the physical stamina required for manual handling tasks.
