Job Description

CQC Registered Manager

  • Location: Worcester
  • Job Type: Full-time (35-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
  • Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

We are seeking a dedicated CQC Registered Manager to lead our care home, which has recently undergone significant improvements. From a rating of 'Needs Improvement', our home has transformed into a steady and well-run organisation. The facility includes a ten-bed residency currently housing eight long-term residents with learning disabilities, and an additional on-site two-bed dwelling with potential to become a Supported Living premises.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the care home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with CQC regulations.
  • Lead and manage a team of care professionals, providing training, support, and development to ensure a high level of competence and motivation.
  • Maintain and improve the quality of care provided to residents, implementing changes and innovations to enhance service delivery.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring the financial sustainability of the home.
  • Engage with residents, families, and external agencies to ensure that the needs and expectations of all stakeholders are met.
  • Prepare for and manage CQC inspections, ensuring all aspects of the home meet regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that reflect best practice in care management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a care home setting, or a strong deputy looking to step up.
  • Excellent knowledge of CQC standards and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships with residents, staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Experience in managing change and improving service quality.
