The Role

As a Cover Supervisor you will take responsibility for delivering pre planned lessons during the absence of the class teacher, ensuring pupils continue to learn within a positive and structured classroom environment.

• Deliver lesson instructions provided by teaching staff.
• Managing behaviour consistently and professionally.
• Encouraging pupil participation and maintaining a productive learning environment.
• Responding calmly to different classroom situations.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff following each lesson.
• Supporting schools with both planned and emergency staff absence.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience working within secondary school education.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Confidence leading groups of pupils independently.
• Professionalism, flexibility and reliability.
• The ability to build positive relationships quickly within new schools.
