Cover Supervisor - Outwood Academy Newbold

Salary range: Grade 5 SCP 9 -11 £22,126.80 - £22,847.74

Hours: 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Start date: September 2026

• Work under the guidance of teaching staff and within an agreed system of supervision.
• Implement work programmes with individuals or groups in or out of the classroom, including supervision of whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
• Cover lessons of any subject using the cover work set by the teacher, maintaining high expectations to motivate and challenge students while managing behaviour effectively and promoting a positive learning environment.
• When cover is not required, support in the classroom as directed.

• You must have GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C or higher and these must be listed on your application; certificates must be provided at interview.
