The RoleAs a Paralegal, you will work with a team of partners, solicitors, and paralegals in Anthony Gold's Court of Protection department.
Your role will include the following tasks, in addition to any other duties as required:
- Assist in the provision of administrative and legal services for clients.
- Provide legal advice to clients under supervision, taking notes in client meetings.
- Attend clients at hospitals, care homes and their homes.
- Make regular payments to clients and maintain accurate payment schedules, forecast spending and create budgets.
- Provide day to day contact with clients and respond to their individual lifestyle requirements.
- Manage confidential written and telephone correspondence with clients, other solicitors and third parties.
- Delegate and supervise tasks where appropriate.
- Work as part of a team under the supervision of a Partner.
- May also handle cases from several Partners and solicitors within the team.
- Provide efficient and friendly service to our clients.
- Produce plain English letters, witness statements, court applications and other documents as required.
- Maintain client care standards as set out in the firm's terms of business and office manual.
- Continuously develop your legal ability.
- Able to work to tight deadlines
- Good Microsoft skills particularly Word and Excel.
- Flexible and proactive approach with "can do" attitude

- Organised and able to prioritise
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with figures
A degree in Law and previous experience working in a Court of Protection role is preferred but not essential.
