Role OverviewAs Country Manager, the primary responsibility will be to oversee all operations within Ireland, ensuring the growth and success of Ebury's services related to payments and collections, business lending, and FX risk management. This includes hiring and managing a team of salespeople, establishing sales objectives, implementing sales programs, and maintaining and improving sales performance through training and development.
Key Responsibilities- Develop annual sales quotas for the region and accurately forecast expected sales volume.
- Implement regional sales programs, including sales action and training plans.
- Ensure adherence to company-wide sales methodology and administrative processes.
- Lead and manage the sales floor, including recruiting, training, and performance appraisals.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Corporate Development, and Product teams to communicate product messages and provide feedback for product development.
- Maintain professional knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, and networking.
- Contribute to team efforts by achieving specific results as needed.
- Work with the Talent Acquisition team to recruit in line with regional demand.
- Demonstrable track record of sales leadership within financial institutions, ideally within FX or Payments.
- Strong commercial experience and network of contacts in the Irish market.
- Experience in a commercial bank selling to mid-size corporates, with additional experience in start-ups, FX specialists, or cash management environments being beneficial.
- Proven experience in local market recruitment at scale.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Ability to bring passion, energy, and motivation to a team.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and market share goals.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of securing commitment and buy-in to a common vision.
- Experience in setting clear objectives and executing them with a significant degree of autonomy.
- Demonstrable ability to mentor, manage, and develop people.
- Effective leadership and direction within a sales organization, ensuring smooth collaboration within a broader matrix.
- Skilled negotiator, able to mediate discussions competently and achieve goals while protecting interests.
