Overview

Role

We seek a qualified Counsellor with experience of mental health issues to join our well-established and integrated Student & Staff Support, Health & Wellbeing Service team, which comprises both counselling and disability. You will provide mainly short-term confidential counselling for students and will work closely with members of the team to deliver a seamless and professional service.

Responsibilities
  • Provide short-term confidential counselling for students within the Student & Staff Support, Health & Wellbeing Service.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver a seamless and professional service.
  • Contribute to workshops, group sessions and short-term/solution-focused counselling work.
Requirements
  • Accredited (or working towards) by an appropriate professional body with substantial experience in an educational, charitable or NHS environment.
  • Understanding of current practice and statutory regulations related to counselling and services for students in higher education.
  • Interest in delivering workshops, group work and short-term counselling.
Details
  • Part-Time: 2.2 days per week (Tuesday and Friday in the office; Monday a.m. remote for 2 hours) - 17 hours per week
  • Salary: £19,052 per annum including London Allowance (pro-rata)
