Responsibilities- Play a key role in shaping financial strategy by delivering high-quality cost analytics and reporting that directly influence executive decisions across the group.
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders across multiple business units to ensure open communication and shared understanding of financial objectives.
- Produce detailed cost and headcount analytics as well as management information reports that clearly explain variances against plans and budgets.
- Collaborate closely with business contacts to translate strategic objectives into robust financial forecasts, supporting operational optimisation and commercial success.
- Drive future cost efficiency by developing a deep understanding of business drivers and engaging in constructive dialogue with colleagues to identify areas for improvement.
- Present complex financial data in an accessible way to diverse audiences, including preparing materials for Executive Committee and Board meetings.
- Champion continuous process improvement within the finance function by identifying opportunities to enhance the timeliness and impact of financial analysis.
- Support compliance with regulatory requirements by ensuring all reporting meets internal standards as well as those set by external authorities such as the PRA and FCA.
- Contribute proactively to team discussions, sharing insights and best practices to foster a culture of knowledge-sharing and mutual support.
- Assist in the implementation of new processes or systems designed to improve accuracy, efficiency, or stakeholder engagement within cost analytics.
- Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders by providing independent review and challenge on financial matters, always prioritising transparency and integrity.

- Excellent communication skills demonstrated through concise presentation of complex financial information tailored for different audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modelling using Microsoft Excel alongside strong analytical capabilities that enable you to interpret large datasets effectively.
- A collaborative approach combined with self-motivation; you are proactive in seeking out opportunities for improvement while valuing input from others.
- Experience working in environments characterised by agility or change where identifying efficiencies and implementing new processes is encouraged.
- Full qualification as an accountant (such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA), evidencing your technical expertise and commitment to professional standards.
