Job Title: Cost Accountant
Description:
We are hiring for our client, a manufacturing business in the Dublin area, for a Cost Accountant. This role will provide critical support across product costing, margin reporting, and cost analysis. The successful Cost Accountant will work closely with Operations, Procurement, Commercial, and Finance teams to deliver accurate cost visibility and enable informed decision making.

- Maintain accurate product, recipe/BOM, and pack costings.
- Analyse customer/product margin performance and highlight key drivers.
- Support pricing, commercial proposals, and NPD costings.
- Investigate manufacturing variances and partner with Operations to drive improvement initiatives.
- Assist with month end close, inventory movements, WIP, and finished goods reporting.
- Maintain ERP data, costing inputs, and master data controls.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support budgeting/forecasting processes.
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent.
- Experience in manufacturing cost accounting advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills and comfortable working with ERP systems.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to communicate complex financial information clearly.
- Hands on, collaborative, and solutions-focused with a proactive mindset.
